How can we be strong if U break us?
We'll bend until we break.
How can we have faith if U kick our knees from under us?
We'll, run we'll limp, we'll crawl, we'll get there.
How can we find our way if U blindfold us?
Hope will be our guide.
How do we carry on if U stop us?
We'll walk past you, smiling.
How can we find the truth if U lie to us?
Lies never last...
How do we breathe if you squeeze the air out of our lungs?
We'll break free, to the surface of the ocean of cold.
How do we learn if U imprison us?
Our hands will make what our eyes see.
Our voices will sing what our ears hear.
Our hearts will be our guide.
And our music will tell you what we have learned.
It will tell us about the rainbow that comes after the rains.
It will tell us about flowers in the desert
It will tell us about love and despair
It will tell us that everything is made to be broken,
but that no evil lasts forever.
It will tell us about all those things money can't buy.
We'll carry on, we'll bravely smile when we're crying.
Knowing... Knowing the sun will rise.
And as long as it doesn't we will see the stars,
and we'll know its never entirely dark.
The truth will never be ours if we don't try to find it.
The only way to undergo a test is by taking it.
If you don't take it you'll never know what you could have had.
We can climb the mountains and we can conquer the ocean,
but true strength, lies in the heart.
